Our Story
Craft Architects – bridging the gap between the crafts and corporate sectors
Craftizen Foundation bridges the gap between the crafts and the corporate sectors through a range of initiatives including CSR programs for craft based livelihoods, customised merchandise solutions, workshops and employee engagement activities.
Our mission is to provide sustainable craft based livelihoods to marginalised communities including adults with intellectual disability; underprivileged women in urban, rural & tribal areas and traditional artisans by facilitating group enterprise production of handcrafted products.
We work with over 30 different craft skills including wooden toy making, lacquer work, hand-embroidery, tailoring and folk art painting to recycling discards such as Temple Flowers, Paper dust and single-use plastics. To date we have impacted over 3,500 beneficiaries across livelihood centres in Bangalore, Channapatna, Cheriyal, Hyderabad and Kolkata
